My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ROCKY is the perfect young dog! If we could clone this 11 month old boy, we certainly would! ROCKY is extremely laid back and calm for a pup. He is gentle with small children (his best friend is a 2.5 year old girl). He gets along fabulously with dogs of all shapes and sizes. He can play with young large dogs, but he is far from a high energy guy. ROCKY lives with 2 small, grumpy seniors and they even love this sweet hunk. ROCKY is up for going anywhere! He is great on leash, rides calmly in the backseat, and minds his manners once he arrives. Last weekend, we took ROCKY to a big Halloween event. He was so wonderful that we took him to a local restaurant patio for drinks and watching football afterwards. He calmly lay beside the table the entire time. ROCKY is crate trained and also knows not to potty in the house. He sleeps in the master bedroom at his foster home. ROCKY is a rare special dog who will be a dream come true for his lucky forever family!

ROCKY is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations.
HIs $300 adoption fee includes transport to Nashville.

All of our pets start their journey in Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted at which time they travel via transport to their new forever home. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters.

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well educated decision from well qualified staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Blues City is operated 100% by volunteers. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
