NEMO is hoping that we are successful at FINDING him a good forever home! He is an adorable 3 year old brindle and white staffie mix. He was picked up as a stray in Rives, TN, along with pal, Nina. Nina found a great home, so now it is Nemo's turn. This handsome boy is fully vetted and ready for adoption. Nemo loves to cuddle and is the sweetest baby you will ever meet. His foster reported on a recent vet visit saying he actually sat on the table and waited calmly for the vet to give him a check up. Everyone at the office was impressed with his good behavior. She also says that Nemo is super smart, very loving, extremely patient, and will make a great companion for some lucky family. He gets along well with his canine friends and is especially popular with the female dogs at his foster home. He passed his cat scan. He was interested in the foster's cat when they met but his attention was easily distracted. He might need to be taught to be gentle if there is a cat inside the home, but he showed no aggression. He is current on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. He tested negative for heartworm. He weighs around 40 pounds. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Nemo if it means he will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help our 501(c)3 non-profit rescue to cover part of the cost of the veterinary care he has received and a microchip.

About Diamonds in the Ruff Pound Pups

About Our Rescue Group...

Diamonds in the Ruff Pound Pups is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit rescue group that rescues animals from kill shelters as well as stray, abandoned, injured, and neglected animals throughout Obion County in NW TN. If any of these dogs is a pet you lost, please contact the rescue. If you are not ready to adopt at this time, please consider fostering a pet, even for just a week. You will be saving a life!

Our Adoption Process...

In general, there is an adoption fee of $200 which helps to cover the cost of basic veterinary care, age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm and fecal tests, spay or neuter and microchip. If a dog has required medical care above and beyond the norm, the adoption fee could be higher. Fees are sometimes lower for certain dogs, so please inquire. If we are unable to arrange for volunteer transport for adoptions outside our area, it may be necessary for us to arrange for paid transport at a cost of approximately $140. Completion of an adoption application as well as a veterinarian reference is required. Our online adoption application can be found at We also have a paper application which you can obtain by emailing or call 731-886-9688 or 731-446-4013.
