Layla's Story...

Layla is an adorable 15 month old female boxer.  She is of the "european" persuasion...with her super cute tail!

Layla is full of boxer wiggles and is a diva in the making.  She likes to be cuddled, and she is very playful and energetic.  Because of her spunk, she would be best suited to a family with lots of energy and activity. Children over the age of 7 would be best.

Layla seems to do okay with some male dogs, but does not favor other females.  She is correctable on leash, so this should not be an issue on walks. However, she would not need to have one-on-one interactions with other female dogs.

If you think you might like to adopt Layla or one of our other dogs, YOU MUST FILL OUT AN ONLINE APPLICATION at www.mtbr.org. It does not commit you to adopting.  Every dog adopted out by MTBR must be an inside dog. There are no exceptions!

DISCLAIMER: Dogs have been observed while in the rescue program, and appear to be of stable temperament. However, it is not possible to test dogs under all circumstances, so caution should be used in new environments, especially involving young children.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Layla, a Brentwood Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Brentwood, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Brentwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brentwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brentwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brentwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
