Maggie's Story...
MAGGIE is 1-2 years old. She is a Lab mix who weighs about 50lbs. She has a very sad story. Maggie was abandoned on the side of a rural road. There she lived for several months, surviving on scraps that people through out, dirt, and whatever else she could consume. She arrived here in poor health and very pregnant. In fact, she had puppies less than two days later. Sadly due to her poor health, all of the puppies passed away. Maggie's health rapidly improved and she is now ready to find a home. Because of her past, she does have some trust issues. She would do best in a home with a minimal amount of adults and no small children. She is not aggressive, just scared of new people. She warms up quickly and once she does she is a lap dog. She plays fetch and likes to give hugs. She aims to please and is easy to train. Maggie is an awesome dog.

This pets adoption fee is $80 which includes his/hers spay/neuter, rabies vaccine, routine vaccines, deworming, and flea/tick preventative. It must be prepaid to allow us to have the vetting completed. This normally takes 1 week or less so you wouldnt have to wait long to take your new family member home. Please consider adding him/her to your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie, a Lawrenceburg Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Lawrenceburg, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Lawrenceburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lawrenceburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lawrenceburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lawrenceburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
