Indie's Story...
Indie came into the rescue from another shelter. She is an approximately 1 1/2 year old female who seems to love all people and did well with the other dogs she was transported in with. Our vet feels she may possibly be the mother of Jada as they came in together and seem to be very connected. It would be great if they could find a home together, but they are young enough that they could be separated and would do fine with their new loving families. Indie has had some basic training and knows sit and stay as well as walks very nicely on her leash. Please stop in and meet Indie and Jada any day of the week between 11-4.
If you want to apply for Indie click here. You can then email the application to the Meridian Valley Humane Society. Applications are now being accepted, and a visitation with the dog is encouraged. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Indie, a Meridian Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
