Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Every year we do a Christmas miracle by saving a very sick dog that no-one else will take in due to the cost of their care and at risk of being euthanized.
We were contacted by a shelter because Joleen has a very serious heart condition and needs heart surgery.
As suspected Joleen has a Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) you can read about it here: http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?c=2+2096&aid=865
Once her surgery is complete she will be a normal healthy dog and live a long and healthy life.
Joleen has had all of her pre-op testing including full bloodwork, x-rays, an ultrasound, EKG and will have her surgery on Wednesday 4th November. Her surgery is estimated at $4,000, so we are desperate for donation to help pay for her surgery and hope everyone will find it in their hearts to help us help her. No matter how much, we are always grateful and a few dollars, by several people add up.

Joleen is only 2 years old, she is a Bichon/Maltese mix and as sweet a little girl you could wish for. Loves to snuggle and just follows you around. She is a very happy and confident dog, not needy at all, you would be able to take her everywhere and she will love everyone she meets. She LOVES tummy rubs and just being with her human. Just a truly wonderful personality, with a gentle, kind temperament. Please help us to give her a new healthy life.
