Kobe's Story...
Hey there! My name's Kobe, what's yours? I'm a 1 year old beagle/dachshund mix. I'm a very friendly and playful boy, who would love to find a new family to give me a home. I'm good with other dogs & love kids. I'm also housebroken and enjoy riding in the car. I am a bit of a special needs boy though, as I am mostly deaf. I don't let my disability hold me back though! I'll just need a family who is able to work with me so I don't get myself into trouble.

I'm up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and also have a microchip. All I need now is someone to love me and take me home! Could that someone be YOU?? The shelter is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2. Come visit!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kobe, a Youngwood Dachshund/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Beagle for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Dachshund/Beagle dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Beagle breeders who help with Dachshund/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
