Indi's Story...
Indi is a 2 1/2 year old harlequin Great Dane. Very sweet girl, with very bad life so far. She came from a home where she got no attention and not much food. She was 25 lbs underweight. She was given to a family member who did not want her and then was taken by someone else who put in a back yard by herself (see picture on tight rope).

It's time for Indi to find a home where she will get the care she needs and be inside the home with the family.

If you'd like to give Indi a better life in a new home, please fill out the adoption application on our website.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Indi, a Austin Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Austin, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
