My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

While we do NOT change the names of Poodles who come to us needing a new family, I will however change the spelling of their name.

Thus, this creamy white, spayed Toy Poodle who arrived as "Charlie", is now call "SHARLEE", which is the feminine version of Charlie. Ta Da!

SharLee comes to us from a wonderful family who had picked her up from a Breeder with the intent that SharLee would go to another family member. Well, that didn't work out very well with their Poodle, so Picket Fence Poodle Rescue was contacted.

This pretty girl was born December 23, 2011, which makes her only 3 years old. She is 11" inches tall and weighs a thin 6 1/2 pounds. Now that she has been spayed and some teeth work done, she should begin to gain more weight.

SharLee is a quiet, gentle, easy going and "soft" Toy Poodle. She will give people her "belly up" when they want her to come or try to pick her up. So, we have people just walk away from that type of submissive behavior while encouraging her to rise up!

Surprisingly, when someone comes to the front door, she will bark with excitement and will be the FIRST Poodle to happily greet people with joyful enthusiasm.

She likes men as well as women, will run and play with toys while getting along just perfectly with ALL of our Poodles. SharLee was also just fine with a Standard Poodle while she was at her previous home.

This soft, pretty girl really considers herself a member of a family and not a dog. She is NOT looking for another dog companion but wants to be with people, in someone's lap, or just being held and loved.

Also, it would be best that SharLee be adopted by a family where someone is home some of the time or are working from their home. This is also a very young Poodle who needs an active family willing to enjoy the antics of a single, fun loving Toy Poodle.

At this time, SharLee is NOT leashed trained; work in progress. A fenced yard will be required. She has also learned a very bad habit of running out an open door! YIKES!!!

It's a good thing we have gates here and doors which open into our garage or fenced areas. This habit needs to be worked on as a dog running out an open door without permission is not good.

SharLee has been recently spayed, teeth were cleaned, she was heartworm tested negative, shots are up to date, wormed, Home Again micro chipped and registered.

Please NO young children (under the age of 10) or aggressive dogs.

To the right family, Shar Lee's $400.00 adoption fee (plus $28.00 Minnesota State Sales Tax) helps pay for her Veterinarian work listed above.

Also included is her kennel, a soft blanket, a dog bed, her dog dishes, a bag of quality dog food, treats, toys, sweater, leash, collar and lots of information to help your adoption start on the right paw forward.

A very nice Poodle girl for the right family. Please let me know if you have any specific questions or would like our "Application For Adoption"
