MEET CURTIS….one very lucky tan/charcoal, 2 yr old, 17 lb, Lhasa Apso mix, who came from the North Central Shelter with a broken leg! This young man could not be sweeter or more affectionate if he tried, and it’s a surprise, considering his previous life! Curtis has a slight limp, so xrays were taken and three opinions given. This boy had a broken leg earlier in his life that was never repaired. We considered surgery but our orthopedic specialist said based on how he was getting along (he is very active and playful!!) he will be fine with no complications! Curtis is a dollbaby….loves to give kisses, play with toys, MUST go to a home with another dog! Kids over 8 would be great and a yard that he can run around and play in ideal. Once you meet this handsome dude, you will smile ear to ear…with a bit of training, he’ll be a super companion to any family with the above criteria or similar. Curtis is a wonderful boy!

UPDATE!!!! Lhasa Happy Homes will be now holding our adoption events most every Sunday at ROVER KENNELS on Main Street in Santa Monica (check calendar link below for special events and directions). Rover is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Main Street is famous for its innovative shops and is close to the beach! Make a day of it!! Metered parking on the street and free parking on 4th and Bicknell Streets.
Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!
