Rusty's Story...
Rusty is a 14 month old male Bichon/Poodle mix and weighs only 7 lbs. He is all white except for a rust coloured strip down his back. He is a friendly cuddly little guy that loves to play with other dogs and people and has that puppy energy. Due to all the changes lately in his life, Rusty can be a bit nervous which he demonstrates by barking, especially if there are other dogs around him barking to encourage him. This could be from excitement of all the new things he's experiencing and just needs to be taught that it's not acceptable. Rusty is a very smart dog (of course -part Poodle!) so with proper training he will be a wonderful companion. He is also excellent on a leash and loves his walks. He is pee pad trained so will need help transferring that to learn to go outside - which his foster mom is working on.
Due to Rusty's barking at this time, he would not be suitable for apartment living.

Rusty's adoption fee is $400. If you wish to explore his adoption please contact Sue at sue@happytailsrescue.ca for an application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rusty, a Mississauga Bichon Frise/Poodle (Toy or Tea Cup) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise/Poodle (Toy or Tea Cup) for sale in Mississauga, or seeking a Bichon Frise/Poodle (Toy or Tea Cup) dog from a breeder in Mississauga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mississauga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mississauga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise/Poodle (Toy or Tea Cup) breeders who help with Bichon Frise/Poodle (Toy or Tea Cup) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mississauga paves the way for another one to be saved.
