Sonny's Story...
If you do not fall in love with Sony’s big smile instantly, then let us introduce you this happy guy and you will love his personality! Sony loves to smile for anyone who wants to him a forever home. He is a big guy so that is more of him to love! Sony weighs 55 pounds and he is about 4 years old. Sony came to us from Evansville Animal Control where he was picked up as a stray. Sonny is a friendly guy and is higher energy, so he will do best in an active home. Sonny loves to go on walks, but he needs some help with his leash training. He keeps his kennel clean at the ITV Rescue Center and he loves toys. Sonny needs a proper meet and greet with other dogs. Sonny knows some basic commands like “sit.” He is up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered, heartworm negative and microchipped. If you would like to meet Sonny, please complete an adoption application at ITVrescue.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sonny, a Evansville Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Evansville, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Evansville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evansville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evansville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evansville paves the way for another one to be saved.
