Scout's Story...
Meet Scout. Scout was rescued from De Soto National Forest on a Boy Scout Reservation. He is approximately 2 yrs old and is eager to explore with nose to the ground. He loves to relax and chill. He will bark to protect but is NOT a yapper! Scout loves the new experience of leash walking. He is GREAT with kids for belly rubs and snuggling. He does not take up much room in human's bed! He is so grateful to be rescued and is getting along perfectly well with other dog in foster home. He is up to date on shots, heartworm negative, microchipped and is working really hard on housetraining. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scout, a New Orleans Coonhound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Coonhound (Unknown Type) for sale in New Orleans, or seeking a Coonhound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in New Orleans.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Orleans already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Orleans breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Coonhound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Coonhound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Orleans paves the way for another one to be saved.
