Black Kitty's Story...
Hi there! I’m Black Kitty, and I was found outside near my foster family's home. I didn't want to stay outside, so they have so kindly given me a room to stay in while I search for the perfect forever family. Unfortunately, I have tested positive for FIV, but this doesn't mean I will not live a long and normal life. I don't have any symptoms and I am otherwise healthy. I’m a loveable and sweet, cuddly boy. I get along great with most of the other kitties and the large dogs in my foster home. I enjoy spending time in your lap soaking up attention for as long as I can get it. I would love to find that extra special home to call my own - could it be with you?

Here's a great article on FIV kitties!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Black Kitty, a Sterling Heights Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Sterling Heights, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Sterling Heights.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sterling Heights already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sterling Heights breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sterling Heights paves the way for another one to be saved.
