Sophie's Story...
Approx. birthdate: June 6, 2015. Meet Sophie!! Sophie was rescued from the beach in Salinas, Puerto Rico, with her sister in a hole under an old house foundation. She has since had all of her vet work done and just flew into Michigan seeking her forever home! Sophie weighs about 18 lbs., but she is not done growing yet. She is a very lovable, happy puppy. Sophie gets along with all the other dogs she meets and is even good with the kitties. She is not a crazy, hyper puppy, but a very focused, trainable puppy who only wants to please you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Sterling Heights Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Sterling Heights, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Sterling Heights.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sterling Heights already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sterling Heights breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sterling Heights paves the way for another one to be saved.
