I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Meet Torro! We are SO proud of Torro and how far he has come! Torro is one of our more fearful longtimers; he has been in the shelter system since May and is spending some time in a foster home to help him decompress. We really want to see Torro all settled into a furever home of his own. Torro is a shy guy who is not always so sure about his human friends. Although he is never nippy, he is afraid and will run if he doesn't know you. Lately Torro has been seeking out more attention and enjoying some pets from his human pals. He likes to follow us around, but at a little distance. We know he craves companionship, but just isn't quite sure how to go about it yet. Torro's best feature is how great he is with other dogs. He LOVES them and they love him! In Chi Town, we would leave Torro's bottom kennel open and let him come out when he wanted- at least once a day, some of the other dogs would hop in and take a little nap with him on his fluffy pillows. He also does great with the other dogs in his foster home. We would love nothing more than for a patient and understanding home for Torro to blossom further in.
We are seeking a furever family for Torro that understands dogs with fear issues and has the time and patience to help our special friend. If you're interested in meeting Torro for adoption, you can call or email his foster mom, Nicole at: 623-419-4255 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Torro is listed at 2 yrs old and weighs approx 20 pounds. His adoption fee is $20 which includes microchip, neuter, County license and rabies vaccination.
