My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Updated bio 11/7/15 Penny is a precious, 5 lb. petitite yorkie, approximately 2 years old. She is being fostered in Riverview, FL.

Penny came to UYR as a part of a 27 dog home that reached out to UYR for help. She had been given food, love, and attention, but was medically neglected until UYR intervened. Overall Penny is healthy, she just got her first shots and will be getting her spay next week. She is a very sweet little girl, curious about her new environment and loves to be held and cuddled by foster mom and dad.

Because Penny is so small, she would be best suited for an adult home, with pets 10 pounds or less. Penny gets along well with other dogs and we feel she will flourush in a home with at least one other dog, because of her history. We have not seen her with cats but she is so mild mannered, we doubt they would bother her. She is very friendly and happy and would enjoy someone who works from home, part time or is home frequently to give her lots of attention. She is getting adjusted to a more structured life. She is learning to walk on a leash and we are crate training to help with her potty routine to get her adjusted to going outside, which she seems to be learning quickly.
