My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

6/26/16 - I'VE BEEN ADOPTED!

Adoption Fee: $250

Fostered in Texas

Age: 8 years

Weight: 8 lbs.

5/13/16 - If you want a lap baby, Mikey is for you. He doesn’t ask for a lot, probably the result of never being given a lot in his lifetime (except for food, lol). He has trimmed down considerably since in his foster home. It was much needed as he was obese. His slim new figure has added years to his life.

Mikey would love a family of his own with or without other pups. He can live with them, but does not interact with them and would be happy as a pig in a pig sty to be the one and only baby. We truly think this would make him come out of his shell more and learn to want and demand attention more so than he is now. He does very well on potty training, but may have mistakes for a while at first while he gets acclimated to a new home.

He isn’t one that likes to be home alone and will bark at the door when you leave, so someone who is home or wants to bring him along would be perfect. He adores riding in the car, so would make a great traveling companion for those who have an RV and hit the road often.

Please consider adopting Mikey and being the happiest humans in the world.

12/8/15 - Mikey has lost some weight and is looking better. He is having some issues with his right legs (front and back) and has an appt fwith the ortho specialist on Dec 21. He is on anti inflammatory med for now. He is a very good natured little guy!

11/9/2015 - Poor Mikey ... someone overfed him and didn't vet him. Surrendered by owner to shelter....morbidly obese with a collapsing trachea (thankfully not symptomatic at present), matted from head to tail, nails curled to the pads and teeth that are horrible .. two fell out at the vet when he had his initial exam. He is clean now with clipped nails, on a much needed diet (he weighs 12 pounds...should be 1/2 that or less) and will have a dental this coming Wed at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists by Dr. Miles.
