Callie's Story...
Callie is a very pretty and smart 2 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix girl. Actually we are not quite sure what her breed is, but she resembles that breed in looks. Callie is smaller than the typical for that breed, however, as she only weighs about 45 lbs. She is one smart cookie! Callie knows sit, stay, shake, rollover, and play dead! She is housetrained and crate trained. She is also affectionate and playful. Callie has been the favorite dog, wherever she has been! So come and see our Callie.

As HAHS now has several adoption locations, please contact Candy or Mark at 816/916-3685 or lelandsable@comcast.net to find out when and where you can meet CALLIE!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Callie, a Overland Park Rhodesian Ridgeback dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rhodesian Ridgeback for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Rhodesian Ridgeback dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rhodesian Ridgeback breeders who help with Rhodesian Ridgeback rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
