Sierra's Story...
This beautiful girl is Sierra, a 1 year old brown tabby cat. Sierra is very sweet and friendly girl. She is just one of more than 65 cats and kittens that were rescued by the Sanctuary a few weeks ago. They have all been spayed/neutered and vaccinated, and any who required medical treatment are being cared for. The majority of these cats and kittens are now ready for adoption.

Because these cats and kittens were all living on their own, we thought for sure they would be feral, but to our pleasant surprise, nearly all of them are very sweet, affectionate and obviously used to humans and enjoy being around people. They are all really gorgeous cats and will make great additions to the family. Handling this many cats and kittens in addition to our regular numbers has been - and continues to be - a monumental task and we ask for your help by simply spreading the word to anyone you know who is interested in adopting a new cat or kitten.
Please give us a call for more information: 684-1475
Suggested Adoption Donation: $25.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sierra, a Colville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Colville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Colville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colville paves the way for another one to be saved.
