We have a Rescued Female Boxer/Mix puppy who is ready for adoption. She is about 4 months old, vaccinated, spayed, de-wormed, very happy and healthy.
Leia is currently being fostered in a loving and responsible farm style home in Vista where she will remain until her permanent forever family is found. Leia's brother and sister have just been adopted by wonderful families.
Her foster family is very pleased with how social, well mannered and intelligent this girl is, she will be an excellent member of a loving forever home.
Leia is puppy pad trained and nearly housebroken. She is fully housebroken if she has access to the outdoors. She sleeps through the night and loves to spend time outside but prefers to sleep indoors.
She knows and obeys the commands "Sit", "Out", "Down", "Quiet", "No" and "Pee-pee". Other commands she is currently learning are "Get out of the Kitchen", "Bed time", "Daddy's home" and "Move, please".
She also has some experience in her foster family's swimming pool, but so far she appears to prefer dry land.
Leia is a beautiful and loving girl, a hopeless romantic who lives to love and be loved. Leia never grows tired of giving kisses and loves to be cuddled, she melts in your arms when held.
Leia has a very pretty face and warm eyes, she also has the cutest classic Boxer under bite. She has big floppy Great Dane style ears, large webbed feet and a stubby like tail. She may be a large size once full grown.
Sadly, Leia has partial blindness in her right eye from abuse at the hands of a child, one of the many reasons for her rescue and being placed in foster care. Her foster family is happy to report that Leia has some vision in her eye, but cannot say how much. She will turn her head towards movement and can run quickly between their fence and hedge trees without incident.
She was under a Vet's care for her eye and it has healed well. You can see in her baby picture how her eye was and how nice she has recovered in the other recent picture.
Leia loves everyone and everything from small to large dogs, cats and children, she is always the first to greet and welcome all visitors.
Leia will be a beautiful and very loyal addition to a family who is ready to give her as much love as she will give to them.
