Hi! My name is Violet, I am approximately 1 year old. I'm a golden lab mix with possibly catahoula. I have a brown eye and a beautiful blue eye.
My foster mommy found me in the rough streets of Houston covered in mud and infested with fleas! I was scared and alone but thankfully, I was found on time and given a second chance to live the life every dog wants and deserves!
I get along great with all dogs and cats. I love humans of all ages! I love to give kisses and to lay on my foster mommy's lap. I love sleeping in my crate and chewing on rawhides/bones! I really enjoy going for walks with my foster brother. I spend a lot of time running in the backyard with my foster sister and brothers!
I finally learned to potty outside and walk/run on a leash. I love to go for a good run! I'm the perfect running dog!
I sit and shake your hand for treats!!
Please consider adopting me! I'm a sweet and beautiful girl! Promise to always love you no matter what!

It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.
NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.
AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation, no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
