  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Zoey is a sweet and spunky lady who is looking for just the right family to settle down with. This 8-year-old hound mix recently came back to the ranch with her brother-from-another-mother, Snip, and has made herself right at home in a few short months. She can be very shy with new people, but once she learns that she can trust you, you'll see a whole new side of her! Zoey still has a lot of energy in her, and she loves to play, but she also knows when it's time to relax and enjoys a good nap as much as anyone else. We think Zoey would do best in a quiet, cat-free home, since she can get nervous around new people or when there is a lot of commotion. Her brother Snip is always looking out for her, though, and we think they would really love to find their next home together! If you are looking for a fun and mature four-legged friend, Zoey may just be your girl!

About Kindness Ranch Animal Sanctuary

About Our Shelter...

The mission of the Kindness Ranch is to provide a sanctuary and place of rehabilitation for animals who have been used in laboratory research.

Staff at Kindness Ranch work to rehabilitate our dogs and cats in a home-like environment. Cats and dogs at the ranch live together with their human caretakers in spacious yurts specially designed to meet their needs. They receive round-the-clock care to help them adjust to their new lives.

The Kindness Ranch also provides foster and adoption programs for all the animals we can rehabilitate. Those who are too debilitated, old or ill to be placed in a loving home can remain on the ranch to live out their days, surrounded by caretakers and volunteers who put the animals’ well-being first.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Potential adopters are welcome to visit Kindness Ranch and meet the animals by appointment. Some animals are also able to visited in or near their foster homes. We sometimes hold adoption events in Cheyenne, WY and Casper, WY.

Our Adoption Process...

We require an adoption application to be filled out and may request a home visit if deemed necessary. Potential adopters are counseled on the special needs that many lab animals have and will work with a staff member to find a good match for their home. The adoption fee is $50 for cats and $150 for dogs. All adopters sign an adoption contract, as well, and are encouraged to keep in touch with pictures and stories!
