Facts about Sadie

  • Breed: Border Collie/Labrador Retriever Mix
  • Color: Black - With Gray Or Silver
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Sadie is a sweet girl at age 9-she came to us as an owner surrender when they decided they no longer had time for her. She has a sibling, Tucker, that while not necessarily a bonded pair would love to be adopted together. If you are interested in just Sadie, please still apply because she has been happy without him in her current foster home. Sadie is very well trained, however dominant with other dogs. She does fine with more submissive males, but would not recommend another female. She has had limited exposure to cats so they are an unknown. She does adore children of all ages though. Sadie knows how to sit, stay, lay down, shake and will do an army crawl when asked. She is crate trained but does not need to be in one. She is quiet and well mannered in the house. Sadie would love a large fenced yard where she run and play.

This dog is currently in a foster home in Tri-Cities, WA.

Like all Mikey's Chance dogs, this dog will come to you from a foster home that has provided loving one-on-one attention, socialization and some basic training, as well as quality food and exercise.

About Mikey's Chance Canine Rescue West Side

About Our Rescue Group...

"Mikey's Chance" is a dog rescue organization organized under Washington State articles of Incorporation as a Non-profit Charity. We focus mainly on saving dogs that are at risk or on “Death Row” in shelters in our area, and placing them to great families. We work with individual adopters, private rescuers, and rescue organizations that share our values. All our dogs are up to date on shots, sterilized, and microchipped prior to adoption, and they are all carefully evaluated to ensure the best possible match with adopters.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We depend on a network of volunteers and fosters for the care of our dogs. The dogs are fostered primarily in either the Seattle/Tacoma/Olympia WA area and in the Tri-Cities area of South Central WA.

Our Adoption Process...

We require an adoption application to be filled out which includes personal references. An in-Home check by a Mikey's Chance volunteer is generally performed prior to adoption. Our dogs come to the adopter "ready-to-go" with current Vet health checks, all shots and vaccinations current and the animal spayed or neutered. Fees vary, depending on the dog, but generally run in the $225-$285 range due to medical expenses.
