Hercules is a big, handsome 5 year old short-haired black with a tiny white neck pendant neutered male. He is very sweet and loves pets and attention, but will let you know when he's had enough. He has a little lower back sensitivity. He also does not care to be picked up or held. He was rescued as a stray who'd been fending for himself on the streets for too long which show in his scars. He gets along well with his docile FIV+ roommates. He is FIV+ which is the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. It is only contagious to other cats. It means his immune system is a little weaker than average, but most cats with FIV live long healthy lives if they are in a safe, indoor only, calm environment . They have been adopted with other FIV+ cats and many people have adopted FIV+ cats who have non-FIV cats without their non-FIV cats contracting it. Please discuss with your Veterinarian to help you decide. There is a vaccination for FIV that you can discuss with you Veterinarian as well. He does not care for dogs at all. He should not be around young children, really active or loud children but should be O.K. with cat-friendly older children who will not try to pick him up and will back off if he gets over-stimulated. Come meet this sweet and handsome man to see if you have the calm, lasting, loving home he needs.
