My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Orly was recently rescued from the shelter and needs a great home! He came to us with a hurt hip/leg and received surgery to fix it....he is recovering well and is ready to find a home for the holidays Here is what the shelter had to say about this cutie:

ORLY - 10 mo., about 55 lbs. Orly is a new intake at McFarland shelter. He is a super sweet, very nice-looking young shep mix male who needs surgery ASAP to pin his leg at the hip joint. The top of the hind right femur, where it fits the hip joint, is fractured. Dr. Stout at Delano Vet took the x-rays. He could do the surgery, but he thinks it would be better done by an orthopedic surgeon - and the sooner the better!
This nice boy is worth the effort. Orly is a laid back, submissive youngster, who loves being petted and who gets along with everyone. He was kenneled briefly with another young male dog and they got along well, but because of Orly's fracture and the other dog's playful energy, Orly has been moved into a separate kennel. Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $150-$250 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us.We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!
