Pawlee's Story...
On her day off from the shelter our staff member Robin was on Route 487 near the Bloomsburg Township building when she looked across the highway to see a very small black kitten ready to dart over to her across the highway. She ran out instead and scooped up this little daredevil. This little black kitten was all of 5-6 weeks old with no mom or siblings in sight. The building workers said they only saw him by himself. This poor little guy's bad luck just came to an end when Robin spotted him. She immediately took him home and started bottle feeding him and got him vetted. She named him Pawlee because of his large "thumbs" and extra toes. Pawlee is a warm, loving super inquisitive kitten that even her husband has warmed up to and he's not the biggest cat lpver out there. He was born in September 2015. Pawlee gets along with her other cats and her dog. He is playful and would be good with children. Pawlee is currently in a foster home in the Benton area. Pawlee is FeLV/FIV negative, up to date on shots, litter trained and neuter will be covered. If you are interested in adopting Pawlee please contact Michelle at 570-759-0920.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pawlee, a Bloomsburg Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bloomsburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Bloomsburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bloomsburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bloomsburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bloomsburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
