Duffie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, and up to date with shots.

Duffie's Story...
Duffie loves to snuggle and super friendly with people. She is a quiet little girl who is doesn't mind a crate and is house-trained. She's about as sweet as they get.

Duffie appears to have an old injury and healed neck wound. The vet guessed maybe an unfortunate incident with a car. She initially had a head tilt going on, but it seems to have improved with needed ear treatment. She is very mobile, can go on walks and up/down stairs. She is not at all limited by whatever happened and no medicine or intervention are required at this time.

Duffie does ok with other dogs, but seems to want to be dominant or is maybe just protecting herself due to her mystery injury. She would likely prefer a home with no other dog or a very calm, submissive type.

Age: 4 y/o
Weight: 15 lbs
Temperament: Great with people and ok with some dogs, but not cats
Trained: Crate and house-trained
Vetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm negative

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duffie, a Kittery Jack Russell Terrier/Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Corgi for sale in Kittery, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Corgi dog from a breeder in Kittery.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kittery already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kittery breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Corgi breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kittery paves the way for another one to be saved.
