Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Well hello there! Simone here. I am happy to report that after surgery, a dental cleaning, and several weeks of recovery, I am finally ready to find my forever home! Here is a note from my foster mom.
Simone might just be the sweetest, snuggliest beagle you have ever met. She came to MW BREW after the baby in her previous family developed untreatable allergies. She is fully house and crate trained, an absolute saint with kids big or small, gets along great with the other dogs, and loves food, walks, snuggles, and BELLY RUBS. She will snuggle up to you, roll over and grab your hand and pull it to her belly for more rubs!
Unfortunately, shortly after Simone came into the program, MW BREW discovered that Simone had a sarcoma on her left hip. After imaging and an evaluation, Simone had the tumor removed. Although she looked like a bit of a franken-puppy for a while, she was acting like she didn't have surgery within about 2 days. She took to her crate rest like a champ though, and although she loved her leashed time outside, she always willingly went back to her crate.
Simone's prognosis from her surgery is very good. The specialist is very comfortable that they got good clean margins around the tumor and her chance of recurrence is low (although not none). The final step to being adoptable was a dental cleaning and extraction of a few teeth that we damaged. She's now had that done, and is anxiously waiting to find her forever home.
Simone's perfect family could be almost anyone. She can handle a long day at home, kids young or old, a laid back day, a hectic noisy day, other dogs, an apartment, a yard, leash walks, just about anything you could throw at her. She hasn't been around cats, and would probably not be a good running companion (that's far too much hard work for this little couch potato) but other than that, she's an easy going, loving little girl.
