LUKE is an 8 year old neutered male yellow Lab who weighs 88 pounds.: Luke & Laney are bonded siblings. Owners have had them since they were 9 weeks old. They are loving towards each other and hate to be separated. They're both very social always wanting to be hanging out where the family is located outside or inside. Laney will put her head in your lap to get head scratched or petted, Luke likes the same attention, but he'd prefer to put his paws in your lap. They are happy to meet everyone with their tails wagging. Love getting their bellies and head rubbed. Luke is more laid back than Laney , ready to take a snooze anytime, but MORE than willing to get in the game to chase tennis balls. Laney is a OCBC-Obsessive compulsive ball chaser. She'll retrieve a tennis ball till you are exhausted, Luke will play with Laney but will stop playing to explore the yard but will then get back into the game . They are inside dogs that love spending time outdoors. They enjoy going swimming, one of their favorite activities is dashing into the water to play and retrieve balls, They sleep well at night on dog bed. Would like a home with a big yard where they can run , retrieve and play. Bonded pair MUST BE adopted together. they have often been around grandchildren ages 4 and 5 but have never lived with any.. Good with other dogs ry. Knows sit , down come. Pulls some on lead settled down after a couple of minutes. Good with an Easy Walk Harness. House and crate trained do not need a crate. Will counter surf. Have owners guide. Luke is approved for kids ages 10+.
Update (12/03): I am now calling my Bonded Pair the Traveling Duo. They traveled from Virginia to Maryland on the busiest travel day. Luke rode shotgun and Laney laid down in the backseat. They are getting much better walking on a leash. I can now walk them both together without them pulling me. They are definitely housebroken and they haven't done any counter surfing. Luke would rather cuddle with you while Laney plays ball, but if you have a rope to play tug-of-war with, Luke is your man. Call you AC to come and see this lovable pair.
Update (11/22): Laney and Luke checking in. We have had this wonderful pair with us for a day and learning a little more about them. They are completely housebroken. They have the run of the house, even at night. Luke loves chew toys, Laney not so much, she just loves her tennis balls. They are definitely a bonded pair. Laney is very motherly toward Luke. They are looking for a forever home.
This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. The rescue has between 50 -
80 dogs available for adoption.
