Sara's Story...
DOG OF THE DAY!!

Sara came to us with her litter of puppies after they were found living in horrible conditions under a house! Sara is believed to be around 4-5 yrs and she weighs 11.2 lbs! She's timid in new situations, but once you gain her trust she doesn't want to be away from you! She uses the doggy door at her foster home and does well with all of her doggy foster siblings. She would do better in a calmer household without toddler age children. She does fine with older children. She's a lap baby and a complete cuddle bug. She has waited a long time and deserves a home to call her own. She's utd, hw neg (tested below detectable levels) and spayed!

All dogs have a $150 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sara, a Grand Bay Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Grand Bay, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Grand Bay.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Bay already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Bay breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Bay paves the way for another one to be saved.
