  • Color: Gray Or Blue
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
Meet miss Gravy Boat. This beauty with bright green eyes was discovered at a public storage facility in Florissant, MO. The employees at the facility told our foster that Gravy Boat was being cared for by a homeless man living in one of the units. After they found the man and had to evict him, he was forced to leave the kitty behind. The employees fed her fried chicken and put out water for her and she, in turn, would greet everyone who came to unload or get their belongings. When our foster mom learned of her presence at the storage facility, she became determined to get her in a proper home. Despite being a total stranger, when the foster went to pick Gravy Boat up, she meowed sweetly, dropped to the ground, and rolled over on her back for belly pets!

Gravy Boat is a sweet, affectionate, quirky kitty that has adapted and is thriving a foster home full of changes- a new human baby on the way, home remodeling, and building relationships with her three dog brothers and two cat brothers. Gravy Boat has no fear of her family's three big dogs and is unperturbed by her fellow resident cats. (Sometimes, that's all you can ask!)

Gravy Boat loves attention and spending quality time with her humans. She shows her appreciation with snuggles and likes to "talk". Although she loves snuggles and lap time, Gravy Boat does not like to be picked up and held. She also has a medication that she has to take every other day that she is not fond of but tolerates. It tastes icky.

Gravy Boat is on a special diet and takes medication every other day for allergies (food and environmental). She has been well controlled on this medication and we are currently working to further reduce the amount and frequency of medication that is required to keep her symptoms under control. Although she doesn't like the taste of the medication, she is a champ and does not hold a grudge for making her take it! She's such a good girl that everytime we go to the vet they admire her loving and sweet demeanor even under stress and during shots. She's one laid back kitty!

About Tenth Life Cat Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Tenth Life is an animal welfare organization that provides another chance at life to injured and abused stray cats. Our focus is on felines with extreme medical needs or ongoing conditions that make it difficult for typical shelters to afford their care.

Stage one of our mission is getting needy cats off the streets of St. Louis and into caring Foster Homes, where they await their forever homes. Stage two´s goal is to open a shelter building that will house special-needs kitties in a cage-free, no-kill setting until they can be carefully placed in their forever homes.
