Gatsby's Story...
Gatsby is the epitome of “the perfect kitten”. He is sweet and cuddly. He loves to take long naps with you. He is playful and curious. He does great with other cats and dogs - once he has checked out his surroundings. He loves children! He likes to to be held like a baby and carried around and will sleep in your arms or flopped on his back in your hands if you let him. He would be perfect with a family with lots of toys and people to play and cuddle with. He is fostered in Huntsville, AL, felv/fiv negative, up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $75, but you have to fill out an application first at www.forrescue.net/cat-application/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gatsby, a Huntsville Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
