My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Baby Junie. I am between 8 and 9 years old and I am the sweetest dog you will ever know. I have had a few families in my short lifetime because of moves and other circumstances. I think this makes me a little shy and definitely not used to a lot of affection. But, I am learning! I love to sit in the kitchen and watch my foster mom make all of our vegetables and dinners. I am so happy just to be part of the action. I was very quiet when I first came to my foster family but after several weeks here, I can now bark just like all of my foster brothers and sisters and I now chase squirrels, too. I had something called congenital mange. I am on the mend but I had this condition for a long time and it really hurt my paws. They are healing but I cannot take too long of walks and I am a little scared to go down stairs so my foster mom carries me. I take medicine a few times a day just to help me continue to heal from the itching and the scratching. My foster mom says I am already gorgeous even if I have a few scars but when I finally heal, I will be a stunner, she says. I have been working on the potty training and I am really good now except when I get a little excited over dinner, I sometimes leak a little. All of this new stuff like good food and love makes me want to dance and I guess sometimes us little old gals do that sort of thing. My vet says that this will subside as soon as I can lose a pound or two with some exercise. I am so good with other dogs, even the imperious bichon who lives here. She is quite the queen and I love her to bits. During the day, I happily go into my crate and I wait for my dog walker to take me out. I love him, too. I am simply the most gentle and sweet Baby and I cannot wait to learn more about being adored. Baby needs someone home most of the time. Children must be over 10. She’s located in IL
