Facts about Cricket

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Brown Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
Cricket is a sweet and playful cat who would love to find a quiet home to call his own. It’s not that Cricket doesn’t like people or other animals – in fact, he loves them! – but this boy can get a little nervous when there is too much going on all at once. He enjoys hanging out with the other calm cats in the Kitty Bunkhouse, and often passes the day napping in the sun, getting fresh air in the cat run, or trying to catch anything that floats or buzzes by. At four years old, Cricket still has a lot of energy and you will see it most whenever there is a wand toy in play. But his favorite time of day is breakfast, when the delicious wet food is served, and he will always make sure that nothing goes to waste! So if you have some extra room in your home for a friendly and independent cat, Cricket would love to be your guy!

About Kindness Ranch Animal Sanctuary

About Our Shelter...

The mission of the Kindness Ranch is to provide a sanctuary and place of rehabilitation for animals who have been used in laboratory research.

Staff at Kindness Ranch work to rehabilitate our dogs and cats in a home-like environment. Cats and dogs at the ranch live together with their human caretakers in spacious yurts specially designed to meet their needs. They receive round-the-clock care to help them adjust to their new lives.

The Kindness Ranch also provides foster and adoption programs for all the animals we can rehabilitate. Those who are too debilitated, old or ill to be placed in a loving home can remain on the ranch to live out their days, surrounded by caretakers and volunteers who put the animals’ well-being first.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Potential adopters are welcome to visit Kindness Ranch and meet the animals by appointment. Some animals are also able to visited in or near their foster homes. We sometimes hold adoption events in Cheyenne, WY and Casper, WY.

Our Adoption Process...

We require an adoption application to be filled out and may request a home visit if deemed necessary. Potential adopters are counseled on the special needs that many lab animals have and will work with a staff member to find a good match for their home. The adoption fee is $50 for cats and $150 for dogs. All adopters sign an adoption contract, as well, and are encouraged to keep in touch with pictures and stories!
