My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone! My name is Andy and I am a sweet 3 yr. old, 25 lb. beagle boy that somehow lost my way and ended up at a shelter in Maryland. I must’ve had a good time on the run, too, because apparently I was ‘filthy and quite smelly’ when they captured me. I thought I smelled just fine, but the nice shelter people bathed me anyway and now I smell like roses… well, maybe not roses, but you get the idea. Hopefully my new owner will like how good I smell! Anyway, I am a little shy and nervous as well, but I do warm up to people and will just need some time to adjust. My ultimate wish is to find someone who is patient, loving, and kind. In addition… a warm bed, yummy food, a little exercise, and some friendly companionship in my new home (human or doggie) would round out my wish list. If you can offer me even a small portion of those things, I would be one lucky boy!

I will be arriving in NJ on Saturday, Nov. 14, and hope to be at Petsmart so that I can make some new friends and start searching for my new home.
