My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We have a beige mosaic female chinchilla that is looking for her new home. She came to NWI a bit ago, and we estimate she was born around 8/11/2015. This makes her right around 3 months old, and now is a great time for her to go to her new home and bond with her new family.

This female is beige and white in color, her color is called “beige mosaic.” This color is a type of pink white chinchilla. She’s fun to look at! Much of her body has a beige color to it, though the tip of her tail is white, and she has some white around her neck and head area. Her head is a darker beige.

She is a fun girl. Very curious. Wants to explore everything the world has to offer…. but has her shy moments too, and sometimes enjoys tucking her head into the crook of your arm, so that you can’t see her. Haha. She would likely really enjoy playtime when she is old enough (6+ months), as she is energetic and curious and just loves to explore. She’s very outgoing, often at the front of the cage to check out what you’re doing. She does well with being held and petted. Doesn’t bite.

This chinchilla is currently living alone, and we do not know if she gets along with other chinchillas. If you are curious as to whether she might get along with your, or one of our, chinchillas, let us know and we’ll see what we can do.

This chinchilla would make a good “first chinchilla” for someone who’s never had chinchillas before, as long as they understand that she is a bit more high energy.

This chinchilla will come with some food to start you out (2 pounds of Tradition pellets), a goodie bags of chews/treats, and a printed out version of our care packet. He will also come with a lifetime of help and support, should you ever need it. If more supplies are needed, we also sell a variety of chinchilla supplies, from cages to hidey houses to hammocks and everything in between.

Regardless of past chinchilla experience, all potential homes will be asked to read our chinchilla care packet, fill out our adoption application/chinchilla questionnaire, and provide proof of cage. If you are unwilling to do these things, please do not waste our time or yours. No chinchilla will go to a new home without an adoption application being filled out - no exceptions.

This chinchilla is located in Hammond, Indiana (zip code 46324). Sorry, but we do not ship.

This beige mosaic female would normally be $175, but due to our Fall Fiesta sale, her adoption fee is now discounted to $150. Must be picked up or have deposit put down by Nov. 30.
