Bodie's Info...

Bodie's Story...
This ridiculously sweet boy is Bodie and he is on the lookout for his loving forever home. Don't let his age fool you, at 7 year old, he is an active boy who loves to play particularly with rope or plush toys. Bodie enjoys being near you and always wants to be the center of attention. If you let him, he'll crawl up onto your lap as if he were a lap dog so that he can be pet. He otherwise likes to sit at your feet and have his chest rubbed. Bodie has a need to be in charge with other dogs and is overwhelming when interacting one-on-one. He needs to be the only dog in his new home and isn't going to be a dog park kind of dog. Bodie is just fine walking around other dogs and will enjoy being out on trails or going hiking on leash. He has lived with cats before but has shown a desire to chase so he can only live with an extremely confident cat that will stand its ground. He is a complete sweetheart but doesn't always know his own strength so he needs any children in his home to be older than six. If you would like to me Bodie, please come to the front to fill out an adoption application so you can see for yourself how wonderful he can be.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bodie, a Bellingham Rhodesian Ridgeback/Whippet dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Whippet for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Whippet dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rhodesian Ridgeback/Whippet breeders who help with Rhodesian Ridgeback/Whippet rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
