Dozer is a total heartthrob. He's a happy-go-lucky, eager-to-please, and obedient dude who will sit, stay, and come on command. And, he's super gentle, and kid, cat, and dog-friendly. (Though, Dozer is a ladies' man -- he prefers female dogs.) Dozer's a real couch potato who loves naps, and when he's not snoozing, you'll probably find him chomping on a chew toy. He enjoys going on walks, and showing off his leash manners. He's asked us to indicate that belly and butt rubs are required of his new family  Dozer's the sweetest dog and can't wait to find his forever home. Could it be yours?

Dozer is fixed, chipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. His tax-deductible adoption fee is $250.

UPDATE: Dozer had surgery for ligament repair on 3/1/16 and may need another in the future. He's also prone to skin growths, so his people will need to keep an eye on his skin for any bumps and lumps that shouldn't be there. Can't adopt, but want to help?  Donate to his vet costs.

About St. Francis Animal Protection Society

About Our Rescue Group...

A Northern California nonprofit founded in 1971, St. Francis Animal Protection Society (SFAPS) is there for at-risk animals -- from shelter pets and strays to cat colonies and animals who need a new place to call home. We advocate, educate, and rescue.

As a community-run organization, our work is funded entirely through charitable donations. We focus on dogs and cats at highest risk, regardless of age, breed, or medical condition. And we do what it takes at all costs -- whether that means medical testing, treatment, and training or compassion, care, and companionship. Because we believe every animal deserves to live a happy, healthy life.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We don't have a physical facility -- all our adoptable animals are living the good life in foster homes with people to pamper them until they make a love connection.

Our Adoption Process...

Are you interested in making a St. Francis animal a part of the family?

Great! Submit an inquiry and we'll touch base within 24 hours to discuss your interest. If it's a good match, we'll set up a meet and greet and have you fill out an adoption application. Then, if it's love at first sight, we'll finalize the adoption with a signed agreement and adoption fee.

We may require a home check as part of the adoption process.

Kittens under 6 months old - $150 (2 kittens for $250)
