Shaggy's Story...
Introducing Shaggy. Shaggy and his sister, Daphne, and brother, Freddy, are perfect examples of the perfectly adorable and adoptable dogs you can find in shelters. These three unfortunately found themselves in a nortoriously high kill shelter in Memphis, where 70% of the animals who enter their doors are euthanized. So odds said that two of these three wouldn't make it, we couldn't let that happen.

Shaggy, much like his brother, is a total love bug who is content to curl up in your arms. Shaggy's adoption fee is $500 and includes his neuter surgery, microchip, up to date vaccines, heartworm preventative, health certificate and transportation from Memphis to your area.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shaggy, a Brattleboro Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
