Meet Claire! This girl's beautiful sleek, black coat and precious squishy face and under bite will immediately win your heart. Claire was originally brought to the shelter with her sister, Pepper, because their owners kept letting them run loose in the neighborhood. When the owners decided not to get them back, Pepper quickly found a home, leaving Claire by herself for the first time ever. Because she had never really been socialized, this girl was shy at the shelter and didn't get much attention from potential families. A foster volunteer noticed her, though, and decided to take her home and show her what a loving home was really like! With the help of the other household pups, Claire's personality has blossomed. She loves to wrestle and take long naps on the couch. Although she is still learning her house manners, this girl is a smart pup and simply wants to please. Claire's happy little personality has won over every dog, cat, and child in her foster home!
At around 6 months, this little pocket pit weighs in at almost 20lbs and still has some growing to do! Claire would be ideal for a patient, active family with another dog to show her the ropes. Her sweet, submissive personality allows her to fit nicely in just about any pack so she would make the perfect playmate for an active four-legged friend. All Dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and given a physical by a veterinarian prior to adoption.
