Brienne's Story...

Name: Brienne

Shelter Resident Since:

Breed: New Zealand

Sex: Female

Age When Entered Shelter:

Color(s) Markings: white

Weight: 8 lbs 9 oz

Biography: Our big, beautiful Brienne was found wandering the streets just outside of the Italian Market in Philadelphia. We will never know if this beauty was meant to be someone's dinner, but whatever her situation was, she now enjoys safety and love within our shelter. She arrived terrified, but quickly settled in and learned how to use her litter box within days. Brienne would appreciate a moderately active or active home environment and would most likely boss around other furry family members. Older children would best suit Brienne and she would be the perfect bonding candidate for a bunny with a more quiet, laid-back personality. As preferences go, Brienne already has three strikes against her - she's larger, she's white and she also has ruby eyes. Our gorgeous girl has so much to offer if that special someone can look past these traditional preferences to love, cherish and enjoy her for who she is and not for her size or fur color. Just as she hopped away from the Italian Market, Brienne is ready to hop away from shelter life and she's hoping it's with you!

If this little one appeals to you, hop over to our adoption application so this bun can start a new life at your home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brienne, a Newport New Zealand was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a New Zealand for sale in Newport, or seeking a New Zealand from a breeder in Newport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even New Zealand breeders who help with New Zealand rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport paves the way for another one to be saved.
