Muffin's Story...

Meet Muffin!
Muffin was rescued during a TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) effort in a local community. Her and her siblings, Waffles and Flapjack, were scared and confused but have since been working on their social skills in a loving foster home and are gaining trust in humans. These kittens have become very loving and sweet and would love a furever home of their own. They will be ready for their own homes after their spay/neuter surgeries scheduled for 12/8/15.

Muffin is:
Up-to-Date on Vaccines (Distemper and Rabies)
FeLV/FIV Negative

Adoption Fee: $75

Furever Tails is a non-profit, no-kill, foster home based animal rescue based out of Oakland Township, MI. Our foster animals are living in our foster homes and treated like family until they find their own furever family. Our adoption process requires an application to be completed and approved before a meet-n-greet with the animal can take place. Adoption fees are necessary to help us cover vetting costs for our rescued animals.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Muffin, a Oakland Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
