MEET FLECKS: Flecks is a very young at heart 4 year old neutered black male with the most unique “flecks” of white hair peppered throughout his coat. He is Negative for FIV/FeLV, is up to date on vaccines and litter box trained. Flecks is VERY affectionate, LOVES HIS TOYS, and has a silly steak. He's a total goofball. Flecks is so happy to finally be safe & sound, loves to be pet and even likes it when you pick him up and carry him around a bit. He loves to get belly rubs, flexing his front feet in the air to show his approval. Flecks has a bit of a dominant personality, and tends to want to be “top dog.” For this reason, Flecks would do best in a home with only 1-2 other cats and would need a slow & patient introduction. He seems to prefer the company of his person more than other cats, unless he has another playful cat with the same energy level to match his. Flecks would also do better in a household with no young children......he is still learning some manners, and sometimes gently nips at you if he gets overly excited, although he hasn't done this in quite a while. Flecks also loves to be the center of your attention and he will run after you up the stairs to keep you in his sights. He really is one unique character. FLECKS was found in an extremely impoverished neighborhood, malnourished and with sore skin and patchy fur. You see, no one in the community wanted Flecks around…..or the 20+ other cats just like him that have found themselves homeless, starving, and craving the compassion of the countless people that pass by them daily, each saying “Shooo cat” or “Get out of here cat.” Yet, he had nowhere to go. Until one day, someone driving through the town spotted him creeping out from under a broken down porch, and said, “Come here cat.” And he came, and he ate, and felt loving hands pick him up and tell him it was all going to be okay…….and for Flecks, it finally is OK……but there are so many more still waiting out there for that one person to come back for them……for their turn to be picked up off the street, to feel a full belly each day, to sleep peacefully at night, to feel loving hands pet them, and tell them they are finally loved…..but there is only so much room in one rescue group’s foster network……so the others wait – until Flecks finds his forever family, and creates a space for one of them with Hope For Animals. Please consider adopting Flecks. And know that when you open your heart and home to him, you have created a life-saving space for another lost soul that is just desperate to be saved. Other cats rescued so far from Flecks’ location and still needing homes include: Ivan, Evan, & Angela. If you are interested in adopting or meeting this kitty please call Eileen at 732-549-1270. There are other cats/kittens available for adoption at the Petsmart on Route 9 South in Manalapan, NJ. The adoption room is located in the back of the store, behind the dog food aisles, on the right hand side.

About Hope for Animals

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small group of volunteers that give a second chance to homeless and orphaned cats. We provide them with warmth, shelter, food, water, and love. We give them all the medical care they need. We keep them safe and prevent them from abuse. We work tirelessly to match each and every one of them with a loving and permanent home best suited for the animal and the pet owner. We are dedicated to educating the public concerning the issues of proper pet care and the importance of spaying and neutering. To do all this and more, we need whatever help the public can provide to us so these unwanted kitties can live the happy and healthy lives they deserve. You'd be surprised how far even the smallest donation can go! If you cannot give them a home, offer them hope. Every donation helps us rescue and help one more animal, and we humbly accept any contribution you might be able to help us with.
