Lady's Story...
Lady is 5 year old adorable smushy-faced Cocker Spaniel girl who is just bursting with love! Lady was surrendered to ACL when her owner became too ill to care for her, but they did a great job raising Lady - she's so sweet, easygoing, and friendly we can hardly believe it! Lady is overweight, but she's very healthy. Her new adopters will need to be careful about the table scraps, but it shouldn't be too hard to get Lady to a healthier weight - she loves to go for walks, play with balls, and be active! Lady grew up with young children, cats, and other dogs, and she loves them all equally! She'd be comfortable in any home that was open, affectionate, active, and wanted to play with her and include her in on the fun family adventures. Lady is going to make some family very happy with her big, goofy grin!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lady, a Oak Park Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Oak Park, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Oak Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
