My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HARRY is one handsome fella! He ADORES humans and greets everyone with a wiggly tail. He likes other dogs but would rather have human attention than romp with the other pups in his foster home. HARRY is calm in the house and content to lay around and snuggle. However he also LOVES to fetch the ball, go on walks or hikes, and ride in the car. He is the absolute ideal dog for that person who wants a dog to be a sidekick that comes everywhere! HARRY would happily accompany his owner on all life's adventures. HARRY is 4 years old and past the annoying puppy behaviors. He doesn't have accidents in his foster home and sleeps quietly in his crate in the master bedroom at night. He is happy to lay in his crate and chew a bone as long as he can see people and/or the other dogs. He knows sit and shake and would likely excel in obedience classes! He is always eager to please people. When HARRY's foster parents have long days, he goes to doggy daycare. He does well there and would be happiest if he could go to daycare rather than sit home alone during the work day. Of course he would rather have a human at home most of the time or accompany him/her to work. He was excellent when we introduced him to cats, but he doesn't hang out with kitties on a daily basis. HARRY is ready to be the best friend and most loyal companion anyone could ever ask for.

HARRY is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations.
His $450 adoption fee includes interstate health certificate and transport to the Midwest.

All of our pets start their journey in Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted at which time they travel via transport to their new forever home. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Blues City is operated 100% by volunteers. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well educated decision from well qualified staff.
