Ellie's Story...
Hi, I'm Ellie, a baby Husky/German Shepherd mix. I have a brother and sister I love to play with and enjoy the company of other dogs. Obedience training is a must! I have a lot of potential to be a fantastic dog when I'm all grown up, but it's up to my people to guide me. I'm a nippy puppy, but doing well learning what's okay to chew on. I'm also doing well learning house training. A 5' or higher fence would be nice because once I reach adulthood I may become an escapte artist. Right now all I want to do is play and wrestle with my siblings, get tummy rubs, play with soft chew toys and balls, explore the back yard, and eat!! I am the most confident and social of the litter. I'm always the first to explore new things, like the living room and the yard. When the neighbor dog barks the other guys run for cover, but I stand my ground and perk my ears up. I settle down pretty quickly after eating and will often play independently. My foster thinks I have the potential to makea great service dog when I grow up. I hope you will be my new people. I’m fully vetted and my adoption fee is only $250. Get an application by e-mailing rescueofhope@gmail.com. Thanks and I hope to meet you soon. Puppy kisses, Ellie

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ellie, a Grand Rapids German Shepherd Dog/Husky puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Husky for sale in Grand Rapids, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Husky puppy from a breeder in Grand Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Husky breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
