My foster mom calls me Carmelita Chiquita Bonita, but you can just use my first name! I am a small, very cute, long haired caliby (calico tabby) kitty. I am a cuddler and a snuggler. I talk a lot--meows, purrs and trills. I get along with the cats and dogs in my foster home, but really I like people the best. Actually I really would like to be attached to one human that I can devote all my attention and affection toward.

For some reason I was on my own in the big, sometimes bad, outside world. My foster mom noticed me hanging around with a big feral tom cat she has been feeding. She sensed that I was not meant to be an outside cat. She befriended me and took me to the vet. I was lucky! I didn't have any diseases and I wasn't pregnant! I have been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.

All I need now is my forever home. If you would like to adopt me or would like to know more about me please submit an application for me, CARMELITA, and my foster mom will be in touch!

About Animal Allies of Texas

About Our Rescue Group...

Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only "adoptable" animals, but "treatable" ones as well - those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we will also engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about "humanity championed by thought."

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold adoption events at one or more locations every week end. Please check the calendar on our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org for specific locations and times.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters must submit an application, either online via our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org or a paper application at an adoption event. General requirements for adoption: You must live in the DFW/Ft. Worth/North Texas area - we do not adopt outside this area. Dogs must be primarily inside, and cats must be totally inside. Cats must not be declawed. All pets must be spayed/neutered if this has not been done prior to adoption. Adopter must agree to a home visit prior to adoption. Adopter MUST agree to return pet to AAT if he/she can no longer keep the pet or if AAT deems it to be in the best interest of the pet. An adoption agreement detailing these and other requirements must be signed to finalize adoption. Current fees are: puppies (under 6 months)-$200, dogs-$175; kittens (under 6 months)-$125, cats-$110. This covers all vaccinations, spay/neuter and microchipping.
