found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and not good with cats.
Little Miss Wendy is spayed, up to date with vaccinations, is testing Heartworm negative and is on monthly heartworm preventive.
Wendy is diagnosed with a luxating patella on her left knee. When she jumps off of furniture or plays too hard, she will limp on that leg for a day or so. Therefore, we are tempering her activity. The veterinarians have recommended that Wendy have orthopedic surgery in the near future to fix the knee to a) avoid further permanent injury/lameness and b) slow/avoid the development of arthritis in the knee. At her young age it would be to her advantage to get the surgery within the year. Her recovery will be easier and her quality of life will be greatly improved. ABTR has been unable to provide this surgery for Wendy due to our limited funds being directed to other rescue dogs with more life-threatening or debilitating conditions. It is our desire that Wendy’s adoptive family have the ability and desire provide this surgery for her, using a reputable specialist. We are happy to discuss details of luxating patellas, the surgery, and the recovery. Email us, please.
