My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

........MEDICAL HOLD.............

Chloe is a lovable one year old Golden mix. She is tiny, only about 27 pounds, so she can fit neatly in your lap and heart. She gets along well with other dogs and cats. Although Chloe is blind, she does well getting around using her other senses. She enjoys playing with toys that make noise and also gently playing with the other dogs in her foster home. She is loyal and enjoys being next to her human companions. Chloe is housebroken and knows how to sit and stay. She does well on a leash, although she is fearful of new experiences. She is learning that these new experiences can be positive and fun. She responds very well to praise and treats.

Chloe’s GRFR vet has determined that her blindness is congenital. Therefore, there is nothing medically that can be done for her. Chloe doesn't let her blindness stop her. She's been blind since birth so her other senses are hyper developed and she gets around great. Due to her blindness, Chloe will need a home with another gentle dog that will help her navigate life and provide her with added assurance. In the past we've had homes put a bell on the other dog and that will help Chloe follow. A home with children older than 10 would be best as well.

Chloe was diagnosed with a heart murmur and will be staged when she visits the cardiologist.

Please don't let her challenges scare you away, this pup is a lover!
